| A hodgepodge. A shot of Glasgow from the cemetery overlooking the cathedral; My friend bryan who came to visit at the start of april, while we were visiting the parc de la villette. Bryan also plays saxophone, so we spent some time looking for an instrument for him in the city where they were invented, and visted Adolph's grave at the Montmartre cemetery. Lastly, a picture of the fish at the open market under the Barbes stop of the metro. | ||||
| My friend Jennifer came to visit with her friend Erin, and we explored the town together. Here they are doing the usual tourist thing in the Palais Royale. While walking about, I took pictures of Notre Dame when the cherry blossoms were full, and Erin took a picture of me with the Tulips in the Jardin Luxemburg. | ||||
| One of the OSU grad students, Jennifer Pommiss came to visit in April, and on the list of things to do was to visit Pere Lachaise (father chair?), the cemetery that holds lots of famous people, including Jim Morrison. I made a return trip in June when Gina Jacobs came to visit. Here we are at Edith Piaf's final resting place. My friend Michelle came to visit in early May, and we stopped at the neighborhood rumage sale at Place Abbesses to see what was happening there. | ||||
| The last week of May I took off for Switzerland, where I got the royal treatment from Patrick and Nicole, who had visited me here in Paris in the fall (see an earlier photo page) We took turns taking pictures at Lucerne, and I took a shot of A church on the river there. Between cities we stopped at one of the alpine lakes to catch our breath, and I took a shot of what a typical swiss country town looks like. If you look closely, you'll see Heidi in the window. | ||||
