Molly Leithart is currently a freshman majoring in dance at The Ohio State University. She began dancing at a local studio Judy Dollenmayer Studio of Dance in Gahanna, OH when she was four years old. She fell in love with the art and continued studying tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical/contemporary through her senior year in high school. She competed in regional and national competitions including Kids Artistic Revue, Starquest, Hall of Fame Dance, Showstopper, and Dynamite, earning multiple placements in the top ten overall scores. During the summer of 2005 she attended the Human Rhythm Project in Chicago, IL, taking master classes from tap dancers such as Lady Di and Sam Webber. Along with dancing she has taken several years of private piano lessons and performed in music festivals. Her aspirations in dance include dancing professionally for a few years and eventually owning a studio. |
