Originally from outside Chicago, Illinois, David Thill’s interest in dance grew in high school out of a musical theater background. He began his training at Giordano Dance School in Evanston, Illinois, and has since trained at Lou Conte Dance Studio, Visceral Dance Center, and Joel Hall Dancers and Center, all in Chicago. His teachers have included Randy Duncan, Elijah Gibson, and Dionna Pridgeon, among others. After finding this niche, David ultimately decided to pursue dance as a career, and is currently an undergraduate major in the Department of Dance at The Ohio State University, working toward a BFA. Although unsure exactly where his education will take him, David is interested in choreography and somatics, among other subjects, and he hopes to find a way to mix these ideas through his undergraduate years. He looks forward to traveling down this open road of opportunity at Ohio State, developing himself as a dancer, thinker, and man. |
