 Courtney Michard began her professional dance training at the Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts along with supplementary instruction from Virginia Ballet Theatre. After obtaining her high school diploma from Lakota East High School, she went on to continue her studies with an emphasis on modern dance at the Ohio State University. Here she aims to acquire a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Ms. Michard has performed with Williamsburg's American Youth Ballet Company in The Nutcracker as a soloist and has various teaching experience with Mason Dance Center, where she taught several children's ballet classes from 2007 to 2008. She hopes to pursue a career in performance following graduation in 2012. |
