Dance 260

Caroline Bramlage is eighteen years old and working hard to reach her goal of being a professional dancer. Growing up in North Carolina, she started out as just a ballerina. She has also studied ballet in England, Ohio and recently California. While in Ohio, she danced at New Albany Ballet Company, where she first started learning modern. She was only there three years, but had great training from Tiffany Kmet and Amy Tremante. She has attended summer programs; those being The Rock School in Philadelphia and ABT Detroit. In high school she trained at Ballet Pacifica under John Gardner and Amanda McKerrow. She broadened her dance training on her high school dance team at Santa Margarita Catholic High School headed by Lucia Wooley and Tracy Vosper. Here she learned styles like contemporary, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. She competed locally in Orange County and nationally with her team. Her solo at Contest of Champions in Orlando, Florida won fourth in 2007 and seventh in 2008. She is now pursuing her BFA at The Ohio State University. She feels very privileged to be in the program and hopes to grow personally and stylistically in her four years there.
